Uploading a PDF to an https site

I need to locate a pdf file on my site and and upload it to an https site, and I have only the smallest of clues as to how to do this.

I image that I need some sort of input and an output stream. Im painfully new to Java, so please spell it out for me in simple terms!

Thanks in advance for any assistance!

Susan,
Welcome to Javaranch.
Have a look at http://jakarta.apache.org/commons/fileupload
This library comes with documentation and example code for doing file uploads.

Before going too much further, you may want to check out the ranch's
naming policy:
http://www.javaranch.com/name.jsp
The powers at be here want to help maintain a professional atmosphere by having every one list their full names.

"Susan W",

Ben is correct. We're pleased to have you here with us on the Ranch, but there are a few rules that need to be followed, and one is that proper names are required. Please take a look at the JavaRanch Naming Policy and adjust your display name to match it.

In particular, your display name must be a first and a last name separated by a space character, and must not be obviously fictitious.

Thanks!

Jerry,
Did you have anything to add to the conversation?
All I see is a quote.
