Hi all,
i am very new to java programming.I installed weblogic and want to do some servlet coding.
Please let me know where and how to put the java API docs.
Please let me know which API's i shud use inorder to create servlets.

Welcome to Javaranch and to Servlet programming.

Explaining the layout of a J2EE webapp (and why things are where they are) is a little too much for a forum. I recommend starting out with a good book or tutorial. Then, if you get stuck on some detail, by all means, ask here.

At least once a week, someone asks about which books are good.
If you use the search feature and the keyword "Book" or "Books" in this and the Servlets forum, you will find plenty of recommendations.

Google is also useful in this regard:
