Hi all,
Well let me tell i am new to servlet and want to understanfd the session so I am trying to deploy the shopping cart example came with J2EE package. I followed the instructions which says:

1. Start your database server (PointBase), which I did successfully.
2. Go to the bookstore directory
3. Execute the command asant deploy.

see the problem is that in command prompt i can the start the server using command startserver.bat.
but when i give command asant deploy under bookstore directory it gives error CLI37 command create-jdbc-connction-pool failed

basically what is happening i am not able to start the server and deploy the applcation at the same time from same command prompt.

I will really appreciate if someone can resolve my issue.

Thanks

Do you already have your database up and running?
It sounds like your server can't connect to it and establish a connection pool.

Thanks Ben for reply

Yes It connects. But as I said that when i work in command prompt i can start one thing at a time. like if i start the pointbase but in that case i cannot give the command asant deploy in the same command prompt unless i stop the pointbase in that command prompt. I know i am doing something wrong because I do not know right process of deploying the appication. I am follwing the same process as instructed.

Thanks
Manish
