Hello there people, thanks for take some of your time for looking at my help topic. I'm Java Servlet newbie, and i research by reading 'Java Servlet Programming 2nd Edition by Jason Hunter'. I have tried some of the codes inside the books with Borland Jbuilder 8 Ent. But i faced up some problems until i reach chapter 3. There is an example, "example:3-10 A Guest Book Using CacheHttpServlet".

This is the codes:

import java.io.*;
import java.util.*;
import javax.servlet.*;
import javax.servlet.http.*;

import com.oreilly.servlet.CacheHttpServlet;

public class Guestbook extends CacheHttpServlet {
// codes
}

I can see that there's gonno import something with the extension codes by the author, so I have downloaded the codes from http://www.servlets.com/cos/

I would like to ask for help from somebody who know how to deal with this problem to teach me how to import those. I really don have any idea for it, i need it because i know it would be useful for my research and for my future development.

Thank you again in advance.

Read the manual/online help on how to create libraries. It's simple.

You already have the import statement, so that's not a problem. Just put the jar file that comes with the COS package into the WEB-INF/lib directory of your web app, and you should be all set.
