As far as I know, the difference btw forward() and sendRedirect() is that the former one allows the server to call the
jsp page itself all stuff happens on the server, nothing by the client. On the other hand, sendRedirect() makes the server send a Http response to the client and the client sends the request for the specified url in the redirect(). The most visable outcome of this was the address of the page on the addressbar. if you forward(), address doesn't change, still the
servlet name appears after the forward, but redirect() changes the address to the specified url in the sendRedirect().
