Iam developing a webapplication using jsp, servlets and struts. Initially I need to read some values from a database and populate a bean. As these values wont change frequenty, I want to keep the bean in application context. The admin of the site can update these values, when the admin updates these values by clicking on submit button, I want to perform the same operation and re-populate the bean. Please someone suggest me how to achieve this in a efficient way.

Thank You.

I'd suggest doing what you described. Populate the bean from the database, store it in the application scope, and update it upon request from the user. Is there a particular step in there about which you're confused?

Welcome to the Ranch! 'Urgent' posts don't get seen any faster than other posts and it just annoys some people so I removed it.
