Unfortunately you haven't given us enough information to help us get you started. Is this tree structure designed for a web page, swing app, applet or something else?
since here is the Servlets Forum, I assume it is probably either an Applet or a Javascript-like view of sort of into tree-convertable information (a directory structure, another hierarchical entity, the Object Model etc .....)
