Long process...problem

Hi
I have got a page call servlet ( doGet )which process a request for a long time, but if the user request this servlet, it starts to process and then after a time (~1 hour) browser gives "page cannot be displayed" but the request is still be processed in server so the user cannot see anything. any one can help.

What you are doing in doGet() method???

User see *page can not be displayed* page...

Why in the world would you make a web related process that takes an hour to complete sit in a web browser and make the user wait? What you should do is kick off the process in another thread and return information to the user that they will be notified by email when the process is complete. Then in the email provide them a link to the information provided by the long running process.
