Calling JOptionPane in A servlet Class

I am trying to validate some user entry from a HTML page in a servlet class , in that sevlet class i want to display a JOptionPane to show some message to user

Serv;lets can only communicate with the client via HTML, although this can include other content such as JavaScript and images. You cannot directly run Java on the client machine unless you use an Applet or other form of client-side Java.
