shantanu,

Welcome to Javaranch.
In order to help you get the most of this site, we have put together a page of tips for asking questions in web forums.
It can be read here:
http://faq.javaranch.com/view?HowToAskQuestionsOnJavaRanch

In particular, you may want to look at:
http://faq.javaranch.com/view?UseAMeaningfulSubjectLine

Because you've posted this question in the servlets forum, it is already assumed that your question is about servlets. Therefore the subject "Servlets" tells us exactly nothing.
