The Servlet FAQ lists a number of Java hosting sites that have been recommended by someone at some point.

Hi there

In the end you have to decide what price/bandwidth/features etc. you need, and decide based on those variables and their order of importance to you.

As always, google is your friend:
Search for "j2ee hosting"

You will see that most hosting companies have different options (e.g. database services, traffic alowances, etc) and packages.

Hi,
Check out http://myjavaserver.com
This is a good hosting environment and it is free. The only glitch is in understanding their file system. If you can get through that, you have a great hosting facility available.

I tried to find a host using Xen hypervisor virtualization but they all seemed to have lots of reliability problems reported on discussion boards. Anyone have better luck?

A good question is never answered. It is not a bolt to be tightened into place but a seed to be planted and to bear more seed toward the hope of greening the landscape of the idea. John Ciardi
