This week's book giveaway is in the General Computing forum.
We're giving away four copies of Arduino in Action and have Martin Evans, Joshua Noble, and Jordan Hochenbaum on-line!
See this thread for details.

Is there a way for me to get an E-mail when any topic is posted in a specific forum instead of just getting an e-mail when my topic has been answered?

On the main forum page is a link to "subscribe" http://www.javaranch.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ubbmail.cgi?action=subscribe
but the only option is "Java Certification Study"

Well, you could go to the JavaRanch forum, and put in a plea to Paul Wheaton. I really don't know what the UBB software will allow in this department.
On the other hand, you could always join COPPWUUN (the "Committee On Persuading Paul Wheaton to Upgrade UBB Now") and see what fun things are in the next version of UBB (that would be 6.0) http://infopop.com/business/business_ubb.html

PS: Membership in COPPWUUN may require participation in Bake Sales and Car Washes to help raise funds for said activity. Participation only valid where law allows.

I agree. Here's the link: http://ej-technologies/jprofiler - if it wasn't for jprofiler, we would need to run our stuff on 16 servers instead of 3.
