How to send parameters to another website

Hello All

Please guide me how to send parameters from my servlet to some body else .
The scenerio is some body sent a url to my site padded with a phone number.
i checked the phone number in my database, if the phone was present i want to sent back the status found otherwise i want to send the status not found. please guide me how i sent back the status to the sender who originally sent the the url to my site.... Thanks

Append it to the URL and use request.getParameter() in the other servlet.
