CommunicationException in websphere 6.0

hi all,

iam getting error when running my application in websphere6.0 and my code is
ht.put(Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY,"com.ibm.websphere.naming.WsnInitialContextFactory");
//ht.put(Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY,"com.ibm.ejs.ns.jndi.CNInitialContextFactory");
ht.put(Context.PROVIDER_URL,"iiop//myhostname ort");

try
{
ctx = new InitialContext(ht);
DataSource ds = (javax.sql.DataSource)ctx.lookup(mysource);
DBCon = ds.getConnection();

}

Error

javax.naming.CommunicationException: A communication failure occurred whi
le attempting to obtain an initial context with the provider URL: "iiop://hostname ort".
Make sure that any bootstrap address information in the URL is
correct and that the target name server is running. A bootstrap address with no
port specification defaults to port 2809. Possible causes other than an incorr
ect bootstrap address or unavailable name server include the network environment
and workstation network configuration. [Root exception is org.omg.CORBA.COMM_FA
ILURE: purge_calls:1451 reason=1 state=5 vmcid: IBM minor code: 306 completed:

Can anyone please help us in resolving this issue?

There aren't many rules that you need to worry about here on the Ranch, but one that we take very seriously regards the use of proper names. Please take a look at the JavaRanch Naming Policy and adjust your display name to match it.

In particular, your display name must be a first and a last name separated by a space character, and must not be obviously fictitious.
