Servlets are by nature dynamic. I have never heard of the term "static servlet".

Where did you hear these terms?

Dear Reddy ,
The terms Static and Dynamic Servlet doesn't exists . Only Static web page and Dynamic Web pages exists . A HTML Page is called as Static Web page and A Servlet or JSP (Some other technology) is used to generate Dynamic Web content , which we refers as Dynamic Web pages.

Regards,
Sultan.

If you just consider a form then i would go for html. The use of servlets should be minimized for views. They are well suited for controllers. As the requirement in this case is just a form ..i would go for html.If you are desperate to use any java related technology then can go for jsp not servlets.
