Head First Servlets and JSP by Bryan Basham, Kathy Sierra, and Bert Bates.

I have:

1) Murach's Java Servlets and JSP

2) Head First Servlets and JSP

I don't know if the Head First book would be that easy to start with. After reading the first few chapters, I was glad I had some background with the Murach's book. However, I think you need access to a forum to be able to ask lot's of questions about the Murach's book. The Murach's book is very basic and therefore doesn't explain things in much depth.

As usual, I think you need two books to learn any computer language. And from what I've read, the Murach's book and the Head First book are both highly recommended.
