Every leader, president, prime-minister of every country in the world should be a woman.

Peace!? Yes women get alond SOOO well together. No cattiness whatsoever, no way. Well I'll grant you there may be peace, but all the nations of the world would also quickly run out of money.

You really watch too much television! You think people get along as they appear to on sit-coms, and mindless idiotic talk shows. Anyone in power of a country would be above "cattiness" and other immature thinking (and behavior). Money issues... you are a very stereotypical-thinking person aren't you? ...and if you don't watch television... you have a problem.

No, but I have been married. Lighten up fruitcake, it's called sarcasm.
Actually one of my all time favorite world leaders was the Iron Maiden herself, Margaret Thatcher. That was one tough broad.

Thatcher! She was a fruit loop a space cadet she was NUTS. They wheel her out these days at conferences where she froth's at the mouth for an hour about foreigners and lefties and then they wheel her off again.
Having said that she was one of the sisterhood and therefore far more qualified to run the country than any man

I do not agree. See nature never intended women to be in the driver's seat.
* They rely on the wrong people. It is not without reason that "nice guys finish last."
* Women are incapable of taking any real pressure.
* They make bad decisions since they are emotional.
* There are lot of men still out there who would'nt like a women boss (I am not one of them).
* I also think that since women are more insecure they can be more ruthless and selfish when it comes to protecting their interests (extend this to their own family, country..)
War or peace is not a decision that one person makes. There are many factors involved such as economic situation, land disputes, and so on. If countries screw up on these fronts there is a greater chance that there will be more violence. For example what can you expect from Afghanistan where people have no jobs.....
I have to admit that one of my favourite leaders is former Indian PM Indira Gandhi and I think Margret Thatcher was very good for Britain. But then there are many more leaders who are men.

I have no problem with a woman leader. Hillary Clinton did it for 8 years.

Men can't make a decision without letting their testosterone get in the way - and you call WOMEN emotional. At least women can leave their sex drives out of their decisions.

A loose model of the Irroquois Nation in place when the Europeans first came to the N. America. Seemed to work out for them. Makes for great political discussion.
The system has the same basic branches of government: Executive, Legislative and Judicial.
Only men can serve in Executive and Legislative branches.
Only woman can serve in Judicial branch.
Heres the kicker:
Though only men can be the executives and make the laws, only the woman can own property and vote.

Jane, you're being a bit hard on Lady Thatcher. I heard her speak a couple weeks ago in Ft. Worth, she did a credible job. She's getting up in her years, but still one feisty lady.
I was surprised to hear that she has degrees in both engineering and law. In fact, she got her law degree, passed the bar, was elected to her first public office and had twins all in the same year. That's one tough lady, and still a real hawk.
Pres. Bush's predecessor as Gov. of Texas was an equally feisty lady who hunts quail and rides a Harley, named Ann Richards.

So I guess you won't be renewing your Tory membership? But come on, she was one of the best Spitting Image puppets (next to Reagan).
When I was stationed in the UK I remember watching a Spitting Image (must have been a rerun) where Reagan and Thatcher were singing a duet of "I Remember It Well." It had me rolling. The one part I remember was something like:
(to tune of "I Remember It Well")
RR: We bombed Libya.
MT: We let you fly.
RR: You couldn't stop us.
MT: We wouldn't try.
Both: Ah yes! I remember it well.

For those of you who know what MTV's "Celebrity Deathmatch" is...
Can you picture a tag team "Celebrity Deathmatch" with Ann Richards and Margaret Thatcher versus Janet Reno and Madelaine Albright.? Maybe UPI's Helen Thomas as special guest referee?

Well maybe I'm being a bit hard on the old dear, I must admit the Tories had a great line up on spitting image (The frothing Roy Hattersley was always my favorite puppet though) and the show could never run today as all the politicians are too bland.
As for all her degree's, I think most of them are honory. And given the choice between her and Kinnock (Welsh , ginger and balding - Talk about unfortunate genes ) I guess I'd vote for her.
But she's still nuts
Jane
