Open a VCalendar file on the fly

I have stored a vCalendar (v2.0) file in the database and want to open the vCalendar file with Outlook using a link from my JSP page which calls a servlet.

When clicking on the link on my local host ( it works fine and Outlook opens the file and prompts the user for an event reply.

But when clicking on the same link when the application is running on the webserver ( it doesnt work. Then Outlook comes up with an popup-message: "The vCalendar-file cant be imported".

Is that an Outlook security issue or is it a problem in my code, i.e. the header information or something else?

(I am sure that the file (invitation.ics) works as this file is also sent with an e-mail. And after downloading it I can import it in Outlook.)
