Hi,
I learnt HEAD method, which provides only headers in response.
What is the realtime use of this method?
Can anyone give me a simple sample on this using a jsp and servlet?

If your only purpose is to track what is going on with the headers you could use this. I have never used HEAD so far and most browsers only support GET and POST.

It could be used by browsers or proxies to determine if a resource has changed since it was last requested, without actually requesting it. That's useful if the server doesn't support conditional GET, which does something similar on teh server. But I don't think any browser does this; not sure about caching proxies.
