Hi folks, I have just downloaded 1.2.2.006 from sun, and am trying to do: javac HelloWorld.java I appear to be in a loop getting th emessage invalid character in input, then a beep. Any ideas? Thanks! Bob

Ok, Similar code from Sun's site worked ok, so I guess my install is ok... Not sure why this didn't work tho... Bob

Ok, Problem solved.... (sheepish grin) used word pad instead of notepad... Bob
