I am creating a website application with upload functionality using Apache Commons file upload. The application is written in JSP and servlets and will run on Websphere 5.1. Users will be using IE 5.5+ for using this application. I have a servlet which gets the initial request from the central authentication page and then my servlet does some initialization and display the first page. There is a upload button on this first page. When I select a file and hit upload, the file is uploaded on the server and get processed on the server. From the first page I am calling servlet2 which is acting like controller.
I am testing the application on my localhost. The problem is when the page is loaded and if I instantly do some operation on it like upload, it works fine. But even if I wait for 10 seconds and do some operation it says Cannot find server. I was able to do some operation as many times as possible but without any wait.
The same code works great on Mozilla Firefox. To add to the confusion the code worked with IE when I deployed the application on my test server.
I posted the same problem some time back on different group with some other details Previous Post
If you think adding more details will help, add them to the original thread. If, after a while, you're not getting an answer and think your question would have been better off in another forum, ask a moderator or sheriff to move it there for you. An original (reaonly) version will remain in the first forum but you won't have multiple conversations on the same topic spread out in more than one thread (cross-posting).
