New to Web Applications in Java

Can anybody help how to start with creating some basic Web Application using JSPs and Servlets.
I m to tally new in this area and know just basic of Servlets.
It may be helpful if somebody has some good links for the same.

You could install the Tomcat web server/servlet container. It comes with a number of servlet and JSP examples pre-installed; they include full source code.

A more detailed -although somewhat dated- tutorial on servlets and JSP can be found here, along with PDFs of an introductory book.

Actually i want to start appearing for interviews with skillset which includes Sevlets and JSPs in 2-3 months time.
And i dont have any profesional exp as such.
So wht do you suggest?

I think Ulf has already made some good suggestions.
