Welcome to JavaRanch.

The obvious way would be to install a recent version of Tomcat (5.5 or 6), and to start reading and working through the books.

Here at JavaRanch we have a http://faq.javaranch.com/java/JspFaq and a http://faq.javaranch.com/java/ServletsFaq that cover some of the frequently asked questions.

Please use real words when posting to the forums. Abbreviations such as "chk" in place of "check" only serve to make your posts more difficult to read and less likely to generate useful responses.

Please read this for more information.
