Depends on what kinds of positions you want to take and what kind of money you want to trade with, but I'd take close looks at: Newmont Mining (NEM), PeopleSoft (PSFT), and Intraware (ITRA) for substantial position changes in the near future. Also I'd consider channel-trading Lucent (LU); I put their bottom-out-or-bust price at $5.50.
SUNW is a long, long-term bet. Cash out at $15 and look for something with more short-term promise. Going long in this market is not likely to do you any favors.

Michael and Ross, Could you guys please expand on your picks and provide the reasoning why you like these stocks.
Are any of you investing in biotech sector? I am about to do a lot of homework in that field for the next two months before I start speculating with those stocks.
Thanks

Hey Jake
No, not me. I don't really want to talk stocks here, even in a meaningless context. I was just pointing to a couple issues I think are worth a closer look. Justifying stock picks is like running into a burning building with a small extinguisher. Already did that for a career; sorry.
As for biotech: the key to that sector is not when you enter, it's when you exit that matters. Of course, I say that about virtually every sector...

I agree with you Michael. I will look into your picks anyway. Does anyone also wants to advise on which online broker I should choose and why? I've heard that Datek has some pretty good reviews particulary when it comes to stock trading.
Thanks

I both work in and invest in the biotech sector. It is not an easy sector to work with since much of the information you will find on these companies contains "Phd in Biology" jargon. It can be difficult to sort it all out. In a nutshell, I have been bitten by investing in smaller biotechs that were relying on a single drug. I have done fairly well investing in those that are a bit more diversified.
