The number of posts and the date of registration are now appearing as a part of all posts. I request all the sheriffs and bartenders make a post on this thread to see who's got the most posts and who registered earlier(Of course other than Cowgirl & TrailBoss). Hema

Hate to spoil your fun but if I'm not mistaken the winner of both contests (registered first and most posts) is of course the guy who owns this site Paul Wheaton. I have about half his number of posts and serious doubt I'll ever catch up.... however Paul did have a quiet spell .. when he moved into a real Ranch .. so maybe someone like Ajith caught up!

Actually just checked .. as I post this Paul is on 4403 posts ... so far then Cindy has not long overtaken him! And she registered AFTER me ... now I feel really lazy!
Hey, if it weren't for MD, I'm probably be at 350 or so.

She moved on to ther things before Paul took over and integrated JavaRanch with his pre-existing forum site, www.electricporkchop.com - which became the JavaRanch forums. So Kathy was never really active in the forums, and only got around to registering herself much later. I think she's still technically a "greenhorn", which helps show how silly these labels can be at times.
And i m registered at July but i wish i would have registered earlier... But from then on i was observing Ajith & Maha's gr8 posts. Carl & Paul's posts were also seen always. And to me the fastest poster is Cindy....just see her registration date & number of posts....she is going to beat Sachin Tendulakar in ODI Runs within a short time....

As for as registration goes, I think, am one of the earlier ones.. Posts not that many, though I read/spend a lot of time on Javaranch.

I still think there should be more titles other than ranch hand and greenhorn for the number of posts. Its just not fair for spammers to be grouped in with the occasional poster.

If you check out the Contact Page you will see that Paul W merged his "electicporkchop" site with the one started by Kathy Kozel (now Kathy Sierra) to become the JavaRanch that we have come to know and love. Of Course Kathy had the user ID "cowgirl" so when we started a naming convention and she had to re-register - she is now a greenhorn . Nope. I sure don't, Paul. Mainly because I have a full time non-java job, a 15-month old, and a husband that asks "You're not on the internet again, are you?" This cuts down on my net time considerably. Matter of fact, I obviously just now got your reply! lol
