What is the exact differance between MVC and Front Controller Design Pattern? I am confused between these two design patterns. In MVC also every request goes throguh Controller Component. Then what is the exact differance between these two. Please reply.

I know they seem confusing. But there is a difference that in the Front Controller, there is only one controller component whereas in the MVC there can be more.
Actually the Front Controller can be thought as a variation of the MVC where there is a single controller.
Take a look at Marc Peabody's notes on design patterns.

Hope this helps
