Some where I studied that each JVM stock's slot is 32 bits length. So bytes, shorts, and chars have to be promoted to integers before pushing on to the stack. But I don't know what is the logic behind floating point values to get promoted to double.
And also I read that double and long takes 2 slots of stack to be stored ( of course it has to ...because double and long are 64 bits values ).
I wanted to know more details if my doubt sounds logical....
