Suppose I've added garlic, big piece of steak, KFC gravy(dunno if they are selling it here), soy sauce, black bean sauce, a few drops of sesame oil, (I can't take spicy food so hot sauce is out) do I need to soak the baby fish fry or baby prawn in water in the first place?

oh, is this just a budget issue?
then to your original recipe, and all your other recipies, just add...
Ramen Noodles.
You can subsist on nothing but Ramen for about $5.00 a week, and, of course, you can liven it up some by tossing in whatever - like beancurd, sliced carrots, or dried baby fish.
Mmmmmm...
sounds tasty!

No, I have not gone whacked. I can't possibly take instant noodles everyday. I like to stay healthy. I like nothing more than a decent home cooked food. Especially those that tasted just like the way my mother cooked them.

If only I know how to cook up a dish the way my mother cooked them, I'll be so happy I could cry.
