Last night, an old movie surfaced in my mind. I forgot the movie's name, but remembered some of the conversation.
.......
Tom Cruise: I want the truth!
Gene Hackman: You can't handle the truth!!
.......
Which movie is that?

It wasn't Gene Hackman... it was Jack Nicholson. The name of the movie was "A Few Good men".

The truth is once they've got tired of a global economy, they will switch back to a monopoly economy again. So why does the Argentinians still want to protest?

This happens all the time with people...forgetting the name of the movies but they remember facts abt the movie.
Once in the public library I was browsing the vedio section and overheard a woman saying to her daughter..."What was that movie with Meg Ryan and that guy? You know in the end they meet on top of the Empire State building?"
Do you know?

ps:
Ofcourse, I know and told the woman.

Thanks for the information!
To verify it, I did a search on "A Few Good men". JN, TC, and Demi Moore started in this movie. But I can't remember anything on Demi Moore in that movie. So I began to doubt whether this is the one.
Besides, I was pretty sure Gene Hackman is in the movie. Then I found that the thing I am not so sure is Tom Cruise.
So I did another search on "Gene Hackman" and searched his filmography. Then "Crimson Tide" stands out. The cast are Denzel Washington and Gene Hackman. And the year is also right: 1995.
So it looks like I made more than one mistake, now I tend to think "Crimson Tide" is the movie. Of course, it was a conversation between Gene Hackman and Denzel Washington. Perhaps someday I will watch the movie again to verify it.

When Harry Met Sally...
Gotchaaaa....
They first meet in a car (Sally gives a ride to Harry), then in on a Plane to Chicago and then they become friends....and since they had sex, they can't be friends anymore and so get married.

You did? Did she say anything to you? What did she say? Did she say "Excuse me"?

Because of this UBB code, somehow, it does not allow you to use space or tab at the begining of each line.
I didn't figure out and gave up. Perhaps u r smarter than me.

All very nice but the line that you asked about is from "A Few Good Men".
Jessep (Jack Nicholson): You want answers?
Kaffee (Tom Cruise): I think I'm entitled to them.
Jessep: You want answers?
Kaffee: I want the truth!
Jessep: You can't handle the truth! Son, we live in a world that has walls. And those walls have to be guarded by men with guns. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Santiago and you curse the Marines. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know: that Santiago's death, while tragic, probably saved lives. And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives...You don't want the truth. Because deep down, in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that wall. You need me on that wall.
We use words like honor, code, loyalty...we use these words as the backbone to a life spent defending something. You use 'em as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom I provide, then questions the manner in which I provide it! I'd rather you just said thank you and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon and stand a post. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you're entitled to!
Kaffee: Did you order the code red?
Jessep: (quietly) I did the job you sent me to do.
Kaffee: Did you order the code red?
Jessep: You're goddamn right I did!!
