At 8:02pm on February 20 this year-2002AD, there will be a historic
moment in time.
It will not be marked by the chiming of any clocks or the ringing of
bells, but at that precise time, on that specific date, something will
happen which has not occurred for 1,001 years and will never happen again.
As the clock ticks over from 8.01pm on Wednesday, February 20, time
will, for sixty seconds only, read in perfect symmetry 2002, 2002, 2002,
or to be more precise - 20:02, 20/02, 2002.
This historic event will never have the same poignancy as the 11th hour
of the 11th day of the 11th month which marks Armistice Day, but it is
an event which has only ever happened once before, and is something
which will never be repeated.
The last occasion that time read in such a symmetrical pattern was long
before the days of the digital watch and the 24-hour clock at 10:01am on
January 10, 1001.
And because the clock only goes up to 23:59, it is something that will
never happen again.

Enjoy!

Love such trivia and remembered reading something in a newspaper last week, found it:
A man born, on June 5th 1912, accidently found out that on 22-02-2002 he lived 2 to the power 15 days....
This historic event will never have the same poignancy as the 11th hour
of the 11th day of the 11th month which marks Armistice Day, but it is
an event which has only ever happened once before, and is something
which will never be repeated.

Don't know what kind of day Armistice Day is but wasn't it there in 1111 at 11:11 ?

If I may say something....according to the lunar calendar, 20/02 2002 was actually the 9th day of the first month. This day is the birthday of the jade emperor. The northern star is said to signify the jade emperor as it is the only star that remain stationary in the sky. All other stars seem to revolve around it. It is stationary as it is located directly above the tropics of capricorn.

Armistice Day marks the ending of World War I fighting at 11 am, November 11, 1918 (the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month).

How about:
21:12 21/12, 2112?
And as far as symetrical patterns:
20:02 30/03, 2002
20:02 10/01, 2002
20:02 11/11, 2002
And for those who use the American system:
20:02 12/21, 2002
