Can someone tell me how to integrate my webcam's images into an applet?
Once integrated, can i "map" this image?

Integrating multimedia streams into an applet is not a big deal. You may want to have a look at the Java Media Framework which provides a very elegant solutions to this. Read the Programmer's Guide and you'll see that in less than 50 lines of code you can integrate a webcam stream into your applet.

Here's one I jsut saw in a magazine, the article is done for C++ but it shouldn't be too hard to convert it for java. On the other hand I don't know much (ok not anything) about the media framework that Valentin mentioned so that might make it much easier than anything in the article.
