i want to get text from a text file in a applet. I am trying Filereader and bufferreader but iyt is not working.
can somebody help me.

hi,
do you want to read a text file stored on the machine running the applet ?
this is not allowed for security reasons! however, with a signed applet you should be able to do so (it will prompt the user if he wants to grant read access to your file system to this applet).
the same applies for servers other than the one the applet was loaded from.
if this did not anser your question, then give some more details on your problem.
