I have a date with a nice girl whose second name is Koid. She is Oriental . Can anyone help me out to know her Nationality/Background so that I can to a bit of Homework ? And just Curious, can Oriental people usually recognise the nationality by their Second/First Names or is it difficult/impossible ? I know some people have the same problem for South Asians. The general rule is we can usually recognise the Hindu Indian names / SriLankans, but if the person is Moslem, its tough to say if he is from Pakistan or India. Regards

Homework?? For a date? Isn't that getting a little too carried away? If you want to impress her with your interest in her nationality or background ask her herself, dont look up somethng on the internet. People love to talk about themselves and your asking her direct questions will give her the chance to do that - it'll also show her directly that you are interested, not in a round-about way that you can look things up on the internet. Start telling her all ofmthese things that you learned about her on the internet might make her think you're a little off balance or compulsive, or worse yet intrusive. Just bring it up in conversation and let it go where it will - I think you'll have better results that way. just my $.02 Dave [ March 15, 2002: Message edited by: Dave Vick ]

Women like it when men talk about them on a date. So pretend you care and ask her questions about yourself (don't go overboard or she'll think you're some kind of sick-o). If it becomes too mind numbing to listen to her nonsense just think about your NCAA tournament picks.
