E-mail through Java application

I have Java application running on Windows 2000 advanced server(which has SMTP running). Is there any API which I can use to send e-mail outside intranet? If yes, please send me link or simple example.

I’ve looked at a lot of different solutions, and in my humble opinion Aspose is the way to go. Here’s the link:
