Practice, practice, practice.
I've heard of others that really appreciated Manning's book titled simply "Swing". I think a second edition of the book came out recently.
Of course, for a decent introduction, don't miss Sun's Java tutorial on Swing.

You may want to use the term GUI (Graphical User Interface), pronounced goo-ee, instead of windows. "Windows" takes longer to type and can be confused with the operating system.

Technically GUI is better word than windows. But pplz. having avg. IQ will get my questions meaning I will suggest u to evaluate the terms a/cto the context in which they are used.If my PC is effeced with virus then its not HIV or AIDS, but it may be WINDOWS 98 .

I read a few Java GUI books and I found that Manning's Swing is the best. It may be slightly above beginner level
