hi senthil, null interfaces are like placeholders you can say. they are just used to specify or constrain certain properties of the objects. e.g. if we implement Serializable then it means that the object is serializable. if we impelement Cloneable then it means the object can be cloned. these interfaces are referred as null as they don't have any method in them so we don't need to implement any method upon implementing them. regards maulin
