I can attach a file to a mail. How do I encrypt a file that's being attached to the mail? Can I use the Java cryptography package? Please help me! I am confused.

Sure you can. But before any sensible answer can be given, the question must be: who or what needs to be able to decrypt the e-mail?

Any other mail client like microsoft outlook, netscape etc should be able to open the attachment and save it.
