Any file name? Or are you looking for a particular one? Do you have a reference to it? Or are you scanning a directory? Are you doing this from a Servlet context, or is this an Applet or an application?

I need to read each file individually to see the content and change some info within. there are many different files so I needed to set up a way to just read until the end of the directory. not really concerned on the latter details because the search (for the most part anyways.... ) is done. I'm just concerned with being able to read the files.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
