dbf reader for datetime

hi does anyone know an api to read dbf file which can read datetime type?

Well, I had to look up dbf files but these are essentially just a database correct?
Since they are Microsoft, I would guess that you would need the ODBC driver supplied by Microsoft. They talk about this sort of stuff in the JDBC forum.

Thanks Cindy, I can't use the odbc driver because I plan to deploy my application on linux. There is an api from svcon where I don't need odbc driver, and it's quite easy to use. But it can't read field of type datetime.
