Hi All,
ONE :
Is there any feature avaiable in Java for printing? (Non GUI)
My requirement is to print some records from the database. Its like, a utility class which gets the search criteria from the screen and fetch the records from the database. If anyone have come across this req'ment and source code, plz send it to me.
TWO:
How to extract the values from a flat file (.dat) and update the db? Second part is an "insert" statement. But the first part is where I seek ur help. The file has the account values. It has 9 columns seperated by a tab. The number of records are more. How to extract each record using java?
TIA,
Padmanaban

You need to ask the DB question in the JDBC forum.

And Padmanaban,
Welcome to JavaRanch!! Please change your name to be compliant with JavaRanch's naming policy. It should not be obviously fictitious.
Your displayed name should be 2 separate names with more than 1 letter each. We really would prefer that you use your REAL name.
You can change your name: here.
Thanks,
Cindy
