I was just wondering if anybody has hands-on experience on using -
log4j and JDK 1.4 logging. How do you compare the two? Is standard JDK 1.4 logging good enough if you do not need any advanced features? What are the distinct advantages and disadvatages of the two?
I did read some notes at - http://www.qos.ch/logging/index.html
but then the author happens to be one of the contributors of log4j, so I was wondering if there is any independent, recent comparison available between these two logging options.
Your inputs will be highly appreciated.
