Concerning saving images

How can I save an image which was drawn on some panel by using the paintcomponent method??

Here's an example I had lying around that I did to learn how to do this:

import javax.swing.*;
import java.io.*;
import com.sun.image.codec.jpeg.*;
import java.awt.image.*;
import java.awt.*;
public class TestPainting extends JFrame {
    public TestPainting() {
