Congratulations! There was never such an exciting part of my life since I was at a University. Except for playing in a Rock Band, but those years overlapped.
I liked it so much that I stayed 6.5 years just for a B.Sc. I never repeated a class but I *did* change majors a lot.

College is fun. I liked it so much I am back teaching. Perl & OOP design for the summer. Perl is fun. Most of my students just cannot believe such a thing is for real. Regular Expressions are always fun. In my last test, one of the students yelled with joy when he got it right! And it wasn't that hard.

hehe, I've got a degree( geography ), diploma, 3 unfinished degrees( math, education, and Comp Sci. ) and am currently taking courses part time to finish the CS degree. The first 6 of those years were the eventful of my life! Ah, to be carefree, no expenses ( covered by scholarships, and student loans ) except beer and liquor, no responsibilities, and did I mention carefree? No one told me I had to pay the money back?? If I had known that I would have only stayed for 5 years, changed majors only 3 times and skipped out on drinking every Monday night to lower my drinking bills by 1/7!
ah, carefree...what a wonderful thought.
Responsibly yours,
Jamie.

And I read ( and buy ) the textbooks now. I also try to get the most out of the courses that I take. It was much easier back in the days where my goal was to not puke during class.
responsibly yours,
Jamie

School ends for me in 5 1/2 more weeks and I couldn't be more excited. I'll go back soon enough to pursue a graduate degree, but after doing 33 credits this past year ("part time"/evenings), it's time for a break.
You're all lucky that the Ranch is now a kinder and gentler Ranch than in the past... I'm taking this Dynamics of International Terrorism class right now that's giving me all kinds of fodder for the MD topics of old.

you'd have your IP address blocked faster than Map Version 2.0 could reply ( and that's like the speed of light! )

:-) three days into school now.
End of the day I was just kind of hanging around after my classes were over. Suddenly from behind I heer someone call to me..So I turn around it is my program director(for the programming department), and he asks me"So do you get along with that kid you were hanging out before?"At first this kind of bugged me out,, I'm thinking to myself he thinks I have done something wrong!!Guilty concience call it,,lol. So I tell him yeah that i am friends with this person. He proceeds to tell me he would like to create an accelerated program for me and one other person of my choice,,lol,, what the hell?? Three days into it and I'm already the best student,,lmao,,hmm, what is going on here??Who cares , I'll take the extra education!!

Do it!
Although not an identical case, at the Univ. I wanted to take a fourth year-level course in Meteorology (with calculus of course etc.)
When I arrived the first day, there were only two students: Me a recent ex-hippie musician of 22 or so years of age and an attractive "genius" 19-year old girl from some super christian family who just liked physics and math and never had been on a date (no need according to her).
We both finished the class with "A" but the punch line is that when I met an admin from the Univ. and in passing told her that there were only TWO students from the beginning in this 400-level physics class, she said "then Prof. McDowell is NOT being payed for that class. You see, it takes 8 students to register at the beginning to get paid. He is teaching that class for free "for the love of the art". She later confirmed to me after she verified it.
Prof. McDowell was a dedicated professor that cared more about teaching than about getting paid.
"Those Were The Days" at the Univ. of Puerto Rico in the early 1970s!

Tony! It's a great story! I sent it to my friends in Russia "as is" with educational intentions.

And today he handed me the new schedule,,he's putting me in classes a semester later then I thought.. I thought just next semester level classes, nope, third semester atuff,,kewl..
I was thinking about it and it kind of cool,,given this oportunity in the future I will be ahead in my classes, and there for have empty space for classes I would otherwise had no chance to take,,
