I'm trying to compile a package and while doing so include dependencies, like the old javac -depend option. I'm using jakarta ant 1.5 as a build tool. The java version being used is 1.4.2 which I know no longer supports the depend option. Are there any solutions to this besides including specific source files to compile beyond the package?

Welcome to JavaRanch!
Perhaps you're wanting to make use of the sourcepath switch. I suggest the javac documentation for details on its use and what it does, as well as for information on all of the switches available.
