She is right, Rich need relatively nothing.Rich people are definitely happier than poor/middle class atleast in many countries.

Well I agree this one as well, but then it is a very debatable issue. The word 'relative' was not used in the question.

Okay, that was me talking silly, I admit.

But I can only disagree with you, if you meant to say *rich need nothing*. That is totally wrong. Actually I could agree if some one says 'those who need nothing, are the richest' - and that is the richness gained by giving way or 'not wanting' ? or the Buddhist way of getting richer. In that respect, I could agree Goutham Buddha (founder of Buddhism) is the richest, because he knew he needs nothing.
But, you cannot have a rich (or rich, as we say rich) person who wants nothing.

Rich people need nothing.
Hmmm... probably not exactly the kind of stuff we'd like our kids to know.
