Hi, Are the .java files for the classes contained in the jdk(for instance HashMap, Vector, etc.) available for download somewhere on the net? Google couldn't help me.
They actually come with the J2SDK when you download it. If you ran a Windows installer, the "Library sources" checkbox may have been unchecked by default, so you might need to reinstall. In any case, when they're installed, they're in a file named src.jar at the top level of the installed J2SDK.
Thanks! That was it. I usually disable everything that is possible except for, of course, the program's core. I took this as a reason to download jdk 1.5 whose installation exe showed the option you mentioned.
