I wouldn't blame M$ for obvious reasons  but what Wrox was thinking about?

Here is another suggesting cover:

And this one was made after our critique of Wrox's policy to put pictures of "ugly guys" on the cover, I am sure:

There's something to be said for a book on Visual Basic with a cover where you you see faces with no eyes!

How about this one:

What does a woman with a fat butt have to do with Java 3-D?

I think, it means that a woman with a fat butt is a manifestation of the virtue of 3-Dness, as opposed to the virtue of 2-Dness that is manifested by dystrophical top-models.

I gotta say, the books are great but...the DevelopMentor books all have the worst covers ever.

Why, this one is pretty cool, I think:
http://images.amazon.com/images/P/020170238X.01.LZZZZZZZ.jpg

And this one is just mean:
"Programmimg Windows Security"
http://images.amazon.com/images/P/0201604426.01.LZZZZZZZ.jpg
- "To crack Windows Security is as easy as open a can"
"Advanced Visual Basic 6":

- "VB is your bread and butter"
Developing Applications with Visual Studio .NET
http://images.amazon.com/images/P/0201708523.01.LZZZZZZZ.jpg
- "you better use Java for any serious application!"
(You can see them all at DevelopMentor site)

Don't judge a book by its cover...Oh, what am I saying?
No, seriously, anyone ever looked inside these?

Why is it that every book that has "visual" in its title has faces with no eyes on its cover? Is this a comment about the quality of MS products?

Here is another Wrox's attemp to recover from our critique of its policy to put pictures of "white ugly guys" on the cover.

You mean that dark anonimous silhouette? It's not that faceless:
1. We know it's a guy
2. *It* most likely wears white shirt and tie
3. *It* writes about boring colorless business cases, and *it* likes it!
4. *It* makes good money doing it
5. You can as well relate to *it* as "another soldier on M$ distributed app front"... hey, with what I do know, you can relate me to it as well...

OK, I'll admit this one's funny, but only because it's making fun of Windows:
