Hello Cay,

Having read the Generics tutorial pdf available at the Sun site, I feel Generics is a huge topic and was thinking if you are planning to write a separate book on that Subject.

Thanks

I wrote a 28 page chapter on generics for Core Java, and I am pretty sure I covered everything the working programmer needs to know.

Thus, I don't think a whole book on generics is worthwhile, although I am sure someone out there will do just that :-)

A great free resource is Angelika Langer's FAQ at http://www.langer.camelot.de/GenericsFAQ/JavaGenericsFAQ.html

Cheers,

Cay

Just my personal interests, I guess the idea of Java's Generics comes from C++'s Generics. Thus, what is the difference between the 2 ideas? I mean, how much Java covers C++'s Generics idea? Wholely or partially covered? Any additional enhancement? etc

Thanks

Nick

Nick,

Java Generics type safety exist only at compile time.
