can any one help me scroll down a editable and uneditable textfield

Hi,
A TextField has only one column and a row. So I don't see the point why you need to scroll. Any way let me assume, what you are talking about is a TextArea, and you want to scroll this, then what you can do is to create a JScrollPane jsp = new JScrollPane();
jsp.add(new JTextArea(5,5));
