Getting IE proxy settings

Hello, I have a program which uses Axis to access a web service. There are some issues with this:
First, we are using a proxy server at the office, So the Axis call cannot go through unless I use System.setProperty for proxhHost and proxyPort.
Since this program will not only be used in the office but in other locations which may have a proxy or not, and may have different proxy settings than the one we currently have, is it possible to have a method which can retrieve the internet explorer proxy settings automatically without using JNI? Thanks.
